About the event

Ever thought about pursuing art or felt curious about where the creative path might lead? Join us for a special event featuring two incredible female artists, who will share their personal journeys, the challenges they've faced, and the inspiring lessons they've learned along the way.

From an illustrator and community builder who boldly left her job to follow her passion, to a fine arts artist fully immersed in her craft, their stories are as different as they are inspiring. Whether you're looking to unlock your own artistic potential or just curious about the creative world, this event is the perfect place to explore and connect!

Speakers:

Akaa is an illustration and comic artist based in San Francisco, focused on showcasing the traditions and diverse stories of Asian culture. Her work blends cultural background with personal expression, enhancing our understanding of different identities.

Additionally, Akaa founded Now Place, which supports emerging artists and aims to redefine retail by promoting cross-disciplinary collaborations in art, design, publishing, and physical products.

Yuting Wang - Visual Artist

Yuting is a full-time traditional media visual artist currently living in the South Bay. She primarily works with watercolor painting, specializing in portraits. Recently, her artistic practice has expanded into sculpture and installation art using water-based pigments and paper, exploring new dimensions within her work.
